Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's children was born in Woodland Hills, California in the year 1956. Her father taught school while her mother was a housewife. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three oldest brothers. McCormick started singing and performing at a very young age. At the age six, McCormick was crowned at the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called McCormick to inquire if the actress would be interested in a career in showbusiness. Her first major role came in 1964, when she appeared in a commercial on TV for Mattels new doll Baby Pattaburp. She did another commercial in the year 1964 for Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was cast as the lead role in The Wind It up and It Breaks, a play in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the part of the youngest daughter of the towheaded trio on The Brady Bunch. The show featured Florence Henderson, Robert Reed as well as a brand new family. The show lasted five seasons. In her memoir Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice which was published in 2008 McCormick revealed that during the fifth season of the show, she was close to losing her virginity to her onscreen co-star and brother Barry Williams. The actress was only 16 when she was in the scene and he was just 19. She said that it would have been possible, but we never had the right timing.
